Hello Hello, can you see all the dresses we got in today? It just got warm enough to wear them here in New York and I am so excited. My favorite is the striped canopy dress. It's very seventies, which also happens to be my favorite fashion era lately. The gingham peter pan collar dress is also pretty great. The shape is just right if you want to be a sweetheart, and I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but the fabric is super nice. We also have had a lot of fun around the office with the Obsessed with TV book. You would be amazed at how much trivia you know without even realizing it. The time honered tradition of oogling the stars on "The Most Beautiful" list in People Mag is back in action. This year, we have a combination of awesome peeps, I only listed a few, but these are kind of my faves of the bunch. Here's a little statement from each and you can see tons more in the actual issue.
This year's Most Beautiful star admits that after being diagnosed with breast cancer last March, she had "a rollercoaster of emotions, but there was a calm about what I had to do." The Samantha Who? actress, 37, underwent a double mastectomy, followed by reconstructive surgery. "It's a decision that you made to save your life," she says, noting one positive effect: "I don't have to wear a bra! They don't hang down to my knees like they did before. And the gals look good in tank tops."
The First Lady says growing up in a supportive household helped make her the confident woman she is today. "I had a father and a brother who thought I was beautiful, and they made me feel that way every single day," says Obama, 45. "I grew up with very strong male role models who thought I was smart and fast and funny, so I heard that a lot. I know that there are many young girls who don’t hear it."
An overnight sensation thanks to her turn in the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire, the former model, 24, says she's taking it all in stride. "The beauty of life is that it takes turns that are sometimes bigger than your wildest dreams," she told Blackbook.
The Twilight star, 22, says he doesn't quite understand his heartthrob status – or the fuss about his signature tousled do. "I don't get it. It's funny, you look the same for years and no one ever mentions it. Then suddenly it's a big deal."
The youngest Gossip Girl star at 15, Momsen's already signed with IMG models, but admits that her height (5'8'') can make it hard for her to find jeans that fit. "I have a really strange body," she told Vanity Fair. "I'm tall, but I'm all legs, like three-fourths of my body."
"Humor is one of the sexiest qualities a person can have," says the Saturday Night Live star, 35. "There's that phrase, 'comedy crush,' where you may not be that attracted to someone physically but, because of how funny they are, you have a little bit of a crush on them. Their humor makes them more attractive. Growing up, my crushes were John Ritter and John Cusack. And yeah, I have a comedy crush on Bill Murray."
The heartthrob told PEOPLE he stays in shape by "backpacking, hiking, surfing, swimming, playing tennis – things that get you active and are also fun." And the 21-year-old avoids junk food – well, usually. "I try not to eat anything that's packaged. Of course, I never succeed."
She's only 19, and this is already her second appearance on PEOPLE's Most Beautiful list! Last year, she posed without makeup, saying "it's important to be comfortable with who you are and go natural once in a while."
The Matthew Williamson collection for H&M was celebrated in perfect style this week, on a boat, with the A listers. It seems like everyone was there (except me, of course). Mary-Kate dined in the morning with her BF and then gussied up for the colorful event! MW & MK partied with Adrien Brody (what's with the blue highlights?), David Schwimmer, Bar Refaeli, Helena Christiansen, Alexis Bledel and Lucy Lui... Um, that sounds like so much fun! I can't wait to get some MW for H&M, too bad I don't have the patience to shop there...And yes, I find any excuse to post pics of MK.
Maybe blonds really do have more fun! Leighton Meester has gone back to her blondness, luckily, this time it looks much more natural! I love it and hopefully she's allowed to keep it for the Gossip Girl, but I'm guessing it'll go back to the basic brown when that starts up again. Those actors have such strict contracts! I have a friend that's in a t.v. show, and he has to ask to do EVERYTHING from shaving his face to cutting his hair... It's kind of intense. I can't wait to see what they will let her get away with, I mean, is Gossip Girl ready for another blond!?
**100TH EPISODE ALERTZ** Sawyer's elaborate suburban rouse gets more complicated when Daniel Faraday returns to the island in an attempt to break free from the constants his life: Destiny and his Mother. Unfortunately for him, the two turn out to be inseparable. And Desmond is rushed to the hospital.
**YA GOTTA HIT THE GROUND RUNNING IF YOU WANNA FLY ALERTZ** Time for our fave Top Modz ep next to Make-Overs... GO SEES! Okay ladies, grab your maps, jump in a cab and get ready to book that gig... 'Cause we FEE'UZ!
**I WAS THERE ALERTZ** It's Rat Pack standards week on Idol and Jamie Foxx has mentored the five remaining singers – goodbye forever, Lil. I've already forgotten you, Anoop. Like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. before him, comedian/actor/singer Jamie Foxx personifies the ring-a-ding-ding lifestyle made famous in organized crime hub mid-century Vegas.
In an effort to coax the die-hards who have already sneaked a peek (or stared) at the leaked version of movie "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" the studio has promised two short bits of footage to play after the credits that "reveal important information about key characters." Director Gavin Hood says the two endings play on separate prints, so different theaters may show different footage. Reviewers who have seen both the leaked version, and the theatrical version have already said there is little difference between the two. What do you guys think? Who's seen, and is still going to see this in theaters? If you haven't seen it, like me, is this offer enticing at all?
Every time I hear Julia Roberts speak, I like her even more. This is the kind of speech I would probably give at an event like this. Yes, there are a lot of F bombs and yes it's a little "drunk", but I love it. It's real and its funny and not all stuffy like most people. I have a clip below and you'll love it so make sure to watch as Julia honors Tom Hanks at the Film Society of Lincoln Center. Oh and since Tom is my fave actor, I think I love it even more.
This looks rediculous. Mel Gisbon looks like this girls dad! Mel brought his new "piece of ass" (that's what I'm calling her, deal with it) to the premiere of Wolverine in LA. Oksana Grigorieva is 30 yrs younger that the, not-yet-divorced Mel. Shouldn't the relationship lay low until the divorce is final? His poor wife, she must feel so betrayed.
