Hey. Hope your day is going good. The heat has broken here and it feels so nice, a really beautiful day. Am about to head out but wanted to just say hey. Some new things in SALE so pls have a look. And that rad jacket that Bella wears in the orig Twilight makes another appearance in the new film that releases today so we've been seeing an uptick in sales of that style... I really love it. Maybe you're not ready to think about jackets? I understand.

Solange Knowles is proving herself to be so much more than Beyonce's little sister--this talented songbird has a style and sound totally her own, as evidenced by her latest interview and photoshoot with Refinery29. When asked about her style icons, she had some pretty amazing people to thank for her colorful, vintage-inspired look:
"My mom in the '70s and '80s[...]she was a bad bitch. Sex and the City totally jacked her steez on the camels. I have a pic of her on a camel ride in Egypt in the '80s serving the hell out of that desert! Also, Diana Ross, The Fela Kuti Queens, Björk, '70s-era Chaka Khan, Chloë Sevigny, '90s Erykah Badu."

The competition is back! Its brunette vs. blonde, Sam vs. Kate. Who do you love? Sam is from Connecticut, just turned 21, and is a student studying business. Kate is a full time model from Germany, is 22 and married to a hott former military man. I love them both, so I can't decide! What do you think?
Sheeeee's baaaaack... Yup, the 3rd installment of the biggest movie franchise ever, "Twilight: Eclipse" debuts today in theaters everywhere... Probably even on Mars. And don't forget, fredflare.com is your #1 Fang-Gang central for all your Vamp needs... Cop Bella's style and rock the Cineplex with the ever popular Nicola Jacket! Now available in 3 awesome colors! Bite me...
When I become a more experienced seamstress, I'll definitely have to try out the Chantilly dress pattern and make some nice dresses for myself. I think it would look really cute with lace lined undershorts peeking out underneath. And when I'm taking a break from frilly frocks and dainty dresses I can throw on a comfy slouchy Otis sweater to wear with shorts or jeans. CLICK THE PIX TO PURCH THE MERCH!

Jeez, I'm like the biggest commercial for Bravo's summer programming today. Okay, besides Bethenny, my other new fave show is Bravo's newest reality TV competition... Work of Art. Yup, artists battling it out for the title of the "Next Great Artist." Keith actually likes this one and he's super hard to please. He even knows Nao from his performance art days back in San Francisco, go figure. Last week's ep had the artists designing book covers for classic Penguin titles. We currently sell Ruben Toledo's version of Pride & Prejudice. And the instant we saw John's version of "The Time Machine" we knew he'd win... And he did. We'll be carrying the title shortly here at fredflare.com and just wanted to see how excited you were about it? What do you think? Purch or Pass? P.S. I LOVE MILES!

When I first started working at fredflare, I lived up in the Inwood neighborhood of Manhattan. (For those of you non-locals, it's not exactly a hop, skip, and a jump away. It's an hour and a half on the subway.) People would always ask how I could stand it, and sometimes I'd complain because I felt like I was supposed to. But really, I kind of secretly loved it. Why? Book reading time GALORE.
Boy howdy, do I love books! And though I've got lots of 'em, I can't seem to stop buying them. (My friends must hate helping me move.) How about you guys? Would you guys like to see more books on fredflare? Novels? Cookbooks? Instructional books? Or maybe you're just not into them? Let me know! One lucky comment will win a prize!

Georgia from Pleasanton, CA added in the special instructions to hug the person next to us, and Nicole and I couldn't resist! We might not be able to do adorable doodlebugs like Mo, but we'll try our best to do anything else for our customers. As we say in CSD, STAY CUTE!

Okay, I have to admit, I never really got into the Housewives despite everyone's constant prodding (Hi Jen!). Until one recent night of insomnia (one of the draw backs of being a small business owner) I decided to watch a few eps of the Housewives of NYC. Okay, hooked. I mean, Kelly on the boat alone sold me - Al Franken. I instantly wanted more. I discovered Bethenny Frankle (my fave since her Martha Steward Apprentice days) had her own show about her shot-gun wedding planning while 6 months preggers. LOVES, my new guilty pleasure - I died during her recent scene at Cosco. I love the the spikey-hair assistant, the eye-bulging wedding planner, her dead-pan therapist, Cookie the dog, her topless hungover, sash-wearing hunk of a fiancé... But most of all I love that raven haired, square-jawed, motor mouth of a cynic... Bethenny, my new idol of 2010! Will Beth get married? Yeah, I'm a million % sure too. What about you? Love or Leave Bethenny?

Despite a full schedule at Brown University and working on the last Harry Potter movie, Emma Watson has still found time to star in her boyfriend George Craig's music video. His band is named One Night Only and throughout the video Emma and George walk all around NYC like 2 love birds. Emma is dressed in the cutest faux-fur cropped coat with a sparkling headband, but to me she always looks super adorable. At the end of the video there's a strange twist that took me a while to figure out (I guess I'm a little dense sometimes...)--see if you can!
Whew, we are all melting here but we had a fun day. Did a photoshoot with lots of peeps here at the office, really fun. Everyone looked AMAZE. Can't wait to share. Until then, don't forget about our $10 OFF "SUMMER" PROMO as it's drawing to a close. Don't miss out on this great deal! Let's what's new, ok?

As the Customer Service Manager, I am always hearing everyone's comments and concerns, whether they're positive or not. There has been a big demand for larger sizes, and when possible we do our best to carry them. I can completely understand these demands, for I myself am a 5'4", size 12, full figured lady! I'm totally not embarrassed to let the world-wide web know my size!
Since now all of that is out in the open, I want to tell all of the girls out there that are in the double digit range that yes, our clothes fit all sizes and shapes! Believe me when I say that I try on everything new to know if the item does truly fit to size when I have you guys call me with questions. We are also expressing your sizing concerns to our vendors in order to keep them informed!
In the past there has been some talk about our models being too skinny, and this is really sad for both sides of the situation. We never want to make anyone feel left out, or hurt someone's feelings about their body shape. However, we understand your concern, and with the help of Mo and the photo department, there is a new role in order here at Fred Flare. For every item that comes in that fits me or that we carry in an XL, we'll be shooting it on a plus size model! It just so happens that the plus size model will also be me!
We always love to hear from you guys. If you have any comments or concerns that you would like to talk about personally with me, I'd love to hear from you. Just email me at info@fredflare.com.
Love ya'll
