Beyonce was a true diva on Wednesday posing with Sleep Beauty and company at Disney World in Florida. B was on location to film a segment for the upcoming ABC special Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade set to air on Xmas Day!
Speaking of Dream Girlz, when we saw Stranger Than Fiction I saw the trailer for Dream Girls… Pretty much too excited for that! I’m also really into the feud between Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson. Art mimicks life I guess!?!

Yes, I’m a totes fashion nerd and was so excited at our awesome luck in scoring one of the Victor & Rolf for H&M wedding gowns on CJ’s b-day. I totally said to him, “Now we can no longer say we’ve never won anything!!” But the truth is, really, what am I gonna do with a wedding dress??
I’d love to save it in my fashion fantasy archive for generations to come – the same one that, in my dreams, would have that Prada lip print skirt from 2000 and that yellow Galliano from like 1994, you know, stuff like that – but for now I’m going to have to just settle for pictures of things.
So Sam took these snaps of me with Blanche all dressed up in the gown and, I kid you not, right when we started shooting Billy Idol’s “White Wedding” suddenly sparkled out the stereo!! Alas, our union is not meant to be. And if ya love somebody, set them free, right? I could probs sell the dress on EBAY but I think that’s LAME. I’d rather it go to someone who really wants or needs it. Do you know anybody?? It’s size 6 and it’s really lovely.

OMG. So things have been pretty crazy here at fred flare for the holidays but it is super fun too! Yesterday I was getting all nervous that we were gonna run out of two of our hottest sellers this year, pop art camera and bacon bandages, so I devised a complex calculation system of how many we would need for Christmas based on average sales and how many days left till xmas. I felt like a total nerd but it was totes fun too! We love nerds here at fredflare.com!! Haha!
Also, if you are in the NYC area this weekend you should DEF go see Au Revoire Simone play Friday night at the Bowery Ballroom. All you need to know is this: 3 adorable girls + keyboards = AMAZING. I went to college with Erika (right) and Annie (center) is a sweetie! Yay! Erika is actually the person who first introduced me to fredflare. Back in March of 2004 we went on a bike ride and she needed to stop by fredflare to pick up an order. So we biked up to North 10th street and went inside to this amazing warehouse filled with the cutest stuff ever! 6 months later I applied for a job in shipping and I’m still here! I like storytime! Haha! Yay! See ya all latron!

Okay peeps, after our fave twin tomboy, Michelle got booted, we’re down to the final four and the cat claws are really coming out. Let’s check it out. ***SPOILZ***
First, our four remaining modz, Melrose, Cari Dee, Eugena and Amanda get a flamenco dancing lesson from a Spanish dwarf dude in heels. Then these four other heeled boys come out, each girl picks a stud and then they practice. Eugena seems pretty decent, Melrose was okay, Cari Dee was crazy (of course) and Amanda was awkward (shocking). After their dance fest the girls have a bite with none other than Miss J, who’s sporting a dew rag on her head… No comment. The whole time Melrose is kissing up to Miss J we get a lot of eyeball rolling action going on. Gosh, those girlz really hate Melly!

OMG, I found these pics today and was totally excited. All my faves. Okay, let’s see what the ladiez club is up to today!
First, we have Britterz pumpinz! I’m so glad she pumps her own gas. But, if I were her, I so totes wouldn’t be pumping my own gas… come’on! But I do love that’s she’s keepin’ it real! Huh?
Next up, Parz ditches Britterz for 5 minutes to reconnect with Darling Nikki. Our fave duo was shot in LA at a Volkswagen car premiere. I’ve hear of movie premieres… but for cars?!? I do LOVE Paris’ bow belt tho!
And here’s Gwenny, Gwen, Gwen, sporting thick bangage, does some promoting in Canader for new record, The Sweet Escape, which drops on December 5th, people. I’m already in line.
And finally Felic! Okay, we’ve already determined that Keri’s bump is a fake for her role in The Girl in the Park and her she is chatting it up with costar Kate Bosworth. I think Kate looks really cute. You know, she’s been looking a little crazy lately, so I’m happy that she seems a bit more normal! WAIT, I kinda take that back… her ribs do look scary! Keri, you can stop by anytime tonight for our Felicity fest… You bring the Mallowmars.

Oh no! I just read the worst news from People. Turns out a judge in the African country of Malawi, where Madonnz’ babe-inz David is from, has allowed human rights groups to move forward in legally challenging Madge on her adoption of Davey.
The groups can now review Madonna’s removal of David from his home country as well as assess her motherhood abilities. YIKES! Many of these “human rights” groups have argued that the Malawian government “fast-tracked” the adoption ’cause Madonnz is famez!
Madonna said last month on Oprah that “David is amazing” and that she’s really sad that the press is trying to make this great thing that she’s doing all negative and possibly deter other peeps from adopting in Africa. Oh, Madge, you’re so great! Why can’t people just leave her be. No one complained when Brad and Angie adopted… And they prolly “fast-tracked” too! BOOOO!

It’s a sad day for couples in Hollywood today. Not one, not two, but three famez couples are officially calling it quitz. Hilz & Joelz, Pam & Kidz and Christian & ???.
Hillary Duff and Joel Madden, who were the cutest couple evah, broke up this week. Joel says it’s ’cause of their 8 year age difference (he’s 27, she’s 19). Yup Joelz, dating a teen when you’re in your late twenties prolly isn’t the smartest thing, even if she is “Stuff by Duff”.
Christian Slater and his estranged (love that word) wife Ryan Haddon finally finalized their divz. Chrissy and ? have 2 kidz to deal with now!
And, Pammy wants a quiet and friendly divorce from Kid (who she calls Bob). Yeah, I’m sure it’ll be real quiet and nice Pam. I actually think that Pam already got remarried to Borat… membz the marriage bag?!? Juss sayin’!

I’m going to join in on all this crushin’ on NYC that’s happening on BFF this eve… Chris and I just got back from photographing the Holiday windows all over town with the supertalents of Sweden Unlimited, Leja and Richard. Had such a GREAT time:) (Guys, we don’t get to see you nearly enough! We always have such a blast when we hang out with you.) They have been shooting the Holiday windows here in NYC for the site for four years now in our annual window shopping feature but this year we tagged along cuz we’re gonna try and bring ya a podcast ep along with the usual snaps. We got some great footage so stay tuned and STAY CUTE!

Fred’s store is closed for the day, so I’m going to write about something other than our great products and peeps. I’m offering homage to one of my favorite NY places: Grand Central Terminal. Whenever I’m in town, I usually cajole Keith and Chris into going there, mostly because I remember it from when I was about six years old and lived in NY myself.

HELLO from the top of the Rockefeller Center! 70 floors above 50th Street and 5th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. Sunday night I shot long exposures of New York City with my digital Leica camera. I thought anyone who loves NYC would be excited to see my fave shots.
These are 15 second exposures of Manhattan taken at night. It was a challenge keeping the camera steady, I had to hold it against the sides of the glass wall guards around the observation deck because I didn’t have a tripod (you can see the glass walls on the 69th floor below at the bottom of both pictures). New York City looks like a Blade Runner scene, especially Times Square with the moon above it! Click on the photos to enlarge (1024 x 576) them in a new window.

Its helpful to know when taking night photos you should use your timer instead of hitting the shutter button yourself. This way there’s minimal camera movement so lights don’t blur or distort if you’re trying to get a crisp nighttime shot. Just hold your camera steady and of course wear your hot shot! camera ring for good luck. *Click!*
