Sorry this took so long guys. I’ve been maxin’ and relaxin’ on my days off. This xmas was so much fun! I went to Ohio (duh) and spent a redic amount of time with the family (next time – i think i’m going to take amy’s suggestion) But it really was fun. Lets take a walk down christmas lane.
My mom really went crazy with the decorations – you saw the tree but the rest was even better. She always makes our mantle look like a winter wonderland with snow and lil’ people and cute little stores. This is my last blog for 2007. Earl and I are leaving this afternoon to spend tomorrow night, New Year’s Eve, with old friends. (I’m talking how long I’ve know them here; not their ages.) Most likely we’ll reminisce not only about what we did this year, but also what we did in years past.
“Do you remember when our kids were young?” I’ll ask Noreen. “We’d fix dinner for everyone at one of our houses, then put the kids to bed and stay up until midnight playing pinochle.” Noreen will nod and smile. Of course, she’ll remember.
Come to think of it, tomorrow isn’t going to be so different.  Except that the kids grew up.
As for 2007, here are some of the things I remember. Fred moved. It seemed as if it went on forever. Some candidates began running for President last March. ”Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” came to the big screen. Keith and I visited Graceland; Earl and I visited a bison preserve. I got close to nature communing with Porky the Squirrel, catching a b-i-g fish, and swimming with Nemo the dolphin. I bought a fast car. So far it and I haven’t gotten a speeding ticket. Cowabunga!
What I remember most, however, is that everyone on both Earl’s and my sides of our family laughed hard and long when we were together. It didn’t matter if there were only a few of us or the whole group. Laughter filled our year. I hope when you think about 2007 you can say the same thing.  Happy Old Year! Happy New Year!

I can’t believe how friggin’ hawt Penn’s gun show is and I also can’t believe this is the little fugly, greasy-haired nerd from John Tucker Must Die… Who knew! Gosh, I’ve been so shocked and scandalized by Jaime Lynn’s pregnancy that I feel I’ve neglected to give Lily Allen her proper preggerz props! Totally old news but, yes, our 22 yr old stylish lil’ songbird, Lily Allen is expecting a babe-inz next year with her boyfriend, 37 yr old Ed Simons of the Chemical Brothers. And check out these a-doorbellz pic of Lilz at the Harrods Winter Sale in London yesterday. I’m lovin’ her sequined “maternity gear” and… Aw, the pupster is so cuteacious! Lilz must be practicing her holding techniques for her pending bundle of joy! Go ahead Lily, SMILE!

I know, Christmas is so ovah, but now that the Holiday rush has ended, Keith and I are finally able to catch up on all our Tivo’s. Last night we tuned in to Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency’s Christmas special and it was a red panty fun fest. I just love Janice so much! Everything she does it completely brillz. She also did this HI-lar video for her version of the “12 Days of Christmas” and I figured since New Years hasn’t happened yet, it’s still okay to do Holiday themed posts. Okay, make sure you’re sitting down, ’cause you’re totally gonna roll right off the Ikea with this gem!

Well, it wouldn’t be a fitting end to 2007 without another Hollywood starlet getting busted for DUI. Yup, Mischa Barton was busted earlier this week in LA for possession of illegal narcotics and driving without a valid license. And what a lovely mug shot she has might I add. Girlfriend’s lookin’ a bit tired. This makes me so sad… But why am I not surprised?!? What a friggin’ wasted year! I swear, these girls need to learn a lesson or two. Like do I need to keep telling them to not get wasted and then get behind the wheel!!! Oh Mischa, I have one thing to say… Back seat it honey!
Speaking of mug shots… We’ve really raked ‘em in this year, so I’ve decided to pull out my “who’s got the hawtest mug shot” poll. So, we’ve got Linz, Parz, Nicz and now Meesh… And I threw in Shia so the boys could represent… No kidding kids, back seat it! Seriously!!! And please drink responsibly this New Years Eve… PLEASE!

Hope everyone had an amazing holiday! I couldn’t wait to get back and tell you guys about two awesome movies I saw while I was home.. Yes.. TWO! Lucky ducks! Okay, let us get into it… shall we?!
You guys may remember me raving about how much I loved Sweeney Todd when I saw the musical a few years ago… Well, the wait was over and I finally got to see the film. Johnny Depp did an amazing job as Mr. Sweeney Todd and I absolutely loved the story on screen as much as I did live. Granted, seeing it live was a whole different and fun experience!! I have heard a lot of mixed reviews… but I think if you can handle the dark humor of it all then you will love this film as well. It is definitely not the most uplifting of stories… but I really feel that Depp brought the character of Sweeney Todd to life.
The next film I saw was hands down the best movie I have seen this year… or maybe in years. The Kite Runner, which was nominated for two Golden Globes, is a heartwarming story of friendship, family and struggle. Khalid Abdalla plays the part of Amir and I truly fell in love with the sincerity of his acting in this role. After some background story of his childhood, both shocking and carefree, Amir returns to Afghanistan, a place that is now in shambles. He had left his home as a young boy for the United States and has not been back since but has returned to follow out the wishes of his best childhood friend, Hassan. It was definitely a bit intense at times so I’m not sure this is for everybody.
This film should win every award it is up for, hands down. Okay, watch the trailer.. And I need to go read the book! xoxo

We’re baaack! Keith and I had a lovely Holiday break hanging out in the Mich with Anne but it’s also great to back home in the NYC bloggin’ with y’all! Did you guys get everything from Santa that you wanted?!? Deets, deets!
Okay check this out… it’s just too rich… I had to post! Check out Ali Lohan’s a-doorbell Christmas vid! OMG, Alz sounds and looks great. You know how much I love the “lil’ sisters”! Let’s just hope Alz doesn’t turn out like you know who. Actually, Anne was telling me over the Holiday break how she read this article rating Hollywood Moms on their parenting skills… And Dina Lohan got the highest marks. Go figure! Wow, I have to admit, I had no idea my post announcing Jamie Lynn Spears’ pregnancy would elicit so many comments. Thank you guys, so much, for sharing all your opinions with me! I have some more news regarding Lynne Spears brilliant parenting techniques. I read in the paper this morning that a cast member from Zoey 101 was quoted saying that Jaimz never really wanted to act or be a big star and that Lynne pushed her to do it. Seems like Lynne’s rep for looking at her daughters as big ole piggy banks is increasing. Lynne does get a cut of Jaime’s earnings.
I also read that Lynne decided to give OK Magazine the exclusive on the preggerz announcement because they pay the most and that the Spears’ are reportedly gonna rake in $1 million from OK for the exclusive first baby shots. You know, if it’s true that Jaimz never wanted this life, her getting preggerz is a pretty drastic way of getting out of it. Let’s just hope the Mom-ager managed her daughter’s money good… So hopefully she can lead a somewhat normal life with her baby in Louisiana.
