After reading about all the ice cream going down at fred flare this week, I remembered that when Keith and Chris came here last summer they arrived with a box of Dairy Queen Buster Bars. Well, believe it or not, there is still one left in my freezer. Which just shows how little I like ice cream myself. Keith must have inherited his love of the stuff from his Dad, who could probably tell Baskin-Robbins from Haagen Dazs blindfolded.

The ICE CREAM FESTIVAL has been super fun so far and it’s made me realize how much ice cream has kinda been a theme in my life and work… Does anybody remember the ice cream social we put on with the gallery Mixed Greens a couple years ago? Wow, that was so amazing. We curated a lil’ art show and set up a mini boutique in the gallery. It was a blast!
That was when we purchased the banana split drawing above from Christina Mazzalupo’s Ice Cream series. I love it! Well, I contacted Mixed Greens to see if there were any remaining drawings from this series and there are! I think they’re so amazing… They’re 19 x 13 inches and made of pigmented ink w/ gouache. The verdict is out… I won’t be attending Madonna’s promo gig tonight at Roseland Ballroom here in NYC thanks to effing jury duty. I was hoping it’d be over yesterday, but I have to go back today instead of getting in line for free Madge tix! And as you can see from the pix, Justin will be joining M for, I’m sure, a rockin’ rendition of “4 Minutes.” Well, the day’s not a total loss, MSN will be streaming the concert LOVE tonight at 10PM EST. Seriously, how excited are you that Gossip Girl is back? Even if it is for only 5 weeks or whatever, it’s just wonderful to have our fave Upper East Siders back on the Teevz scene. Wow, Miley Cyrus’ topless photo for the new Vanity Fair has really caused a mayjah scandal. I just thought the makeup made her look like a vampire but it’s really blown up. First everyone criticized her for posing topless (’cause she’s only 15), then Miley apologized, then Vanity Fair and photographer Annie Leibovitz criticized Miley for apologizing. Tennis anyone?!? Now I guess Billy Ray and Tish ducked outta the shoot before the image in question took place and Disney is PIZZED! Damage control time. Disney wants to keep Miley outta the limelight for at least the next 6 months. OMG, do you really think that’s possible? She’ll just put more bikini shots on her MySpace page and show up at the Sex and the City movie premiere!

I swear, when a new Madonna record drops I feel like a friggin’ kid in a candy store. I just want more, more, more! I do get kinda stressed out tho. As a die-hard Madonna fan, I don’t wanna miss a thing. I want to know about all the breaking M news: what she’s wearing, what magazine covers she’ll be on and and who’s got the hottest remixes. Also, living in NYC adds to the craziness. I mean, Madge is here this week rehearsing for her promo gig at the Roseland Ballroom. She even had dinner in my hood last night at Keith McNally’s new hawt spot, Morandi. See, that’s so Madonna, she’s everywhere yet you can’t get to her. It’s so frustrating but I love it all!
Okay, Hard Candy, marks Madge’s 11 offish studio album and (hopefully) her 4th #1 record in a row. She’s ditched her “Hung Up” leotard for some urban hip hop beats with 21st century mega producers Timbaland and Pharrel Williams. M’s so genius. She always manages to put her fingers right on the pulse of the moment! Yeah, girlicious may be pushing 50, but she’s as sexy and hawt as ever! Her suga’s friggin’ RAW! Stick and Sweet!

i lurve ice cream! i especially love ben and jerry’s and haagen-dazs! So naturally when keith sent out that a-doorbz ecard about getting free ice cream, i was like “um, yes please”! So yesterday when i went home, i was looking at the website trying to find something i didn’t already own, so i could buy it and use the discount code “ice cream” to get a free pint of HD! (fyi, i decided on the ice cream maker and the ice cream lamp – duh).
But all this ice cream talk made me hungry for a little “phish food”, which is my fave flave. So i mo-z’ed on over to my freezer to see what we had… and in doing so, i came to the realization that i am completely obsessed with this delicious frozen treat! I had no idea how crazy i really was until i opened that freezer! i was so surprised by my discovery that i had to take a pic… please don’t think less of me. I mean the first step to recovery, is admitting there’s a problem… Maybe they have “ice cream anonymous”? Okay, so, just like any addict – even after seeing how crazy my freezer was, i still went down to the bodega and picked up another pint!
