Today one of my fave indie “It” girls turns 28! Kirsten Dunst has starred in some of my favorite movies (Spider-Man, Elizabethtown and The Virgin Suicides, to name a few) and she’s totally one of my major girl crushes. I’ve saved that issue of Seventeen for about 8 years, just sayin’! Anyway, Happy Birthday, KiKi! Totes bummed that you’re not going to be in the Spidey reboot, but I’m looking forward to see what new projects you come out with!

I came across these beautiful series of photographs called Dancers Among Us by photographer Jordan Matter. The photographs have the best backdrop for these talented dancers: New York City. Matter describes that the way people were fascinated by his amazing dancers “One man in the subway was so transfixed by watching a dancer continuously jump high into the air and hold a running pose that he missed his train, cursed to the heavens, and ran outside to catch a cab.” You can check out more of these photographs at Jordan Matters website. Today was an awesome morning! It’s absolutely gorgeous outside, Jen brought muffins for morning meeting, and we were on the TODAY SHOW again! They did a piece on hot summer trends, and seriously half the products were from FredFlare. Awesome, right??? Finally the wait is over! The Christina Aguilera video for “Not Myself Tonight” that has created so much buzz has finally premiered! Christina’s dominatrix side comes out a little in a Lady Gaga inspired look. Christina says, “I think I’m even a more sexual Christina.” Xtina has gone a long long way from “Genie in a Bottle.” What do you guys think of this new side of Christina? Does it work for her?

As I write this, I realize almost all of my blogs have to do with the reasons I love New York. Well, um… here’s another one!! (Really though, can you blame me?) Right now it’s one of my favorite times of the year in New York. And not just for the obvious reasons, like everything in the parks blooming, but because it’s time for the Tribeca Film Festival!
Working for the Festival last year was the first job I ever had in New York, and it holds a very special place in my heart. Naturally, I was totally thrilled when they asked me back this year. Making new friends, random celebrity sightings, and movies GALORE, the Festival is always an amazing time. Since I’ve been working both here and there, I haven’t had a chance to see anything yet, but I’ve got big movie plans for Friday! If you live in New York, I suggest you do too.
