Last holiday season, one of our favorite vendors, Toddland, sent us the most amazing Christmas gift EVER- a five. pound. gummy. bear. Say whaaat?!?! Yep, this beast is 10 inches long, and five whole pounds of gummy bear goodness! If that’s not a dream come true, I don’t know what is. Oh wait, yes I do… Fredflare carrying them!!
The world’s largest gummy bear comes in cherry, orange, lemon, lime, sour apple, blue raspberry, grape, pineapple, tropical fruit, cola, and cherry cola, and I’m kind of thinking I need to try each and every one of them. Some of you might not know this, but I write a lot of our product copy and I’m not sure if you noticed, but we have A LOT of product…Â Â So much, that after a while, I kind of start losing my mind in the most ridiculous ways. Yesterday, as I was writing copy for 2 of my new fave items… I got carried away. Remember how excited Jen was to get her new BFF profile pic? Well, when girlfriends are in their twenties, getting older ain’t that big-a-deal. Fastforward a “few” years and ya got lil’ ole me! This girl ain’t in her 20′s but I thought it was time to change my pic too. Whataya think? I like my long hair from 5 years ago, but I do seem to be in a happier mood these days. Did you know that National Toasted Marshmallow Day is, like, a thing? Neither did I, but apparently there’s a whole day dedicated to those crispy-on-the-outside, gooey-on-the-inside super-delicious little suckers. And I have to say, I can totally get behind that. Toasted marshmallows are one of my favorite parts of summer, whether I’m camping in the woods or grilling on my parents’ deck (or gingerly holding a ‘mallow above the gas flame in my apartment). Stick ‘em in a s’more or just gobble them down, I’m game.
Holly & I wanted to celebrate the holiday, but it has been approximately 1 Million Degrees here in New York, lately, so hanging out around an open flame wasn’t really the most fun thing we could think of. Instead, we took the spirit of the day (marshmallows!), combined it with our competitive natures, and engaged in a friendly round of Chubby Bunny! And, of course, filmed it.

If you were following us on Twitter last night, you’d know how much we LOOOOVED the Emmys! I laughed, I cried, I yelled at the T.V. and I cheered! It was a really great show last night! I was just going to do a mini pic of my fave Red Carpet looks, but when I started pulling the images, I couldn’t stop!
A few of our fave winners were: Kyra Sedgwick for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama, Modern Family for Outstanding Comedy Series, Mad Men for Outstanding Drama Series, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart for Outstanding Variety Comedy Series, and (my personal favorite) The Man Your Man Could Smell Like – Old Spice Body Wash for Outstanding Commercial! I totally cried when Jewel sang for the memorial of all those lost in the past year and I totally LOL’d when Ricky Gervais passed out beers. Corinne Day, the photographer credited for discovering Kate Moss and launching the ever-controversial “heroine chic” trend passed away yesterday in England due to complication from a brain tumor. Keith and I found great inspiration in Corinne’s work in the mid 90′s… In fact, we couldn’t get enough of her shots of Kate! Corinne, you’ll be greatly missed.

If you could make any celebrity some of your awesome cupcakes, who would it be?
Without a doubt, I would make Conan O’Brien THE best cupcakes known to man. I have this saying when making cupcakes that goes, “You know I like you when I make you a cupcake” 
That saying still rings true, and this summer I have been crazy busy whipping up those yummy treats. What can I say, I like a lot of you guys! 
So Conan, be on the watch for your cupcakes!
What is your DREAM job?
My dream job you ask? I would love to travel the world. I’ve always been a fan of Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel, and having my own show would be so fun! OR, being a professional ice-skater! That definitely is a stretch for me because I am not flexible one bit! I failed the flexibility portion of gym in high school, but you said dream job, right? haha
If you could be any cartoon character for a day, who would you pick?
This is a toughie, but I would love to be Hey Arnold for a day. He lives in that crazy apartment complex, with his grandparents, and there never seems to be a dull moment. While being Arnold, I would buy him some new outfits so he could have more of a variety to pick from! It’s funny how most cartoon characters are given one outfit to wear. Makes getting ready a cinch!
What are you studying at school?
I’ll be starting my sophomore year at Columbia College Chicago soon, and I’m majoring in Film&Video. My main focus will be the editing aspect of it all. I think it’s so neat how you get edit together all the clips to have it then tell a story for your audience. There are so many choices to make when editing, and I love learning about all the different softwares out there. Right now editing has been a hobby of mine, but hopefully down the road I can make it my job!
What is your ideal dinner?
When I think of tasty dinners, I immediately think of all the great meals I have in the summer. My dad is a grill-master, and he makes the BEST steak! So I’d have some flat iron steak, with a baked potato, cucumbers&sour cream (YUM!), and some corn on the cob. My mouth is watering so bad right now!

Though the King of Pop may have have passed on, he is not forgotten, and I’m gonna be celebrating his birthday with my fave track off of Thriller: Billie Jean. Listening to it totally brings back memories of spinning the record on my parents’ phonograph and boogeying around the house with my brother.
