f-red carpet: 2011 MTV VMA’s posted by Chris comment (1)

I know, I’m so late but gimme a break… I’ve been trapped in the Catskills since hurricane Irain hit. Okay, is there really a point to MTV’s VMAs other than giving rock stars an opportunity to dress outlandishly? Nah, didn’t think so. Here’s some of my fave looks: Adele‘s blow-out, Nicki Minaj‘s ice cream necklace, Katy Perry‘s cube, Bieber‘s snake, Jessie J’s bedazzled crutches and Beyoncé‘s bump! Then there’s Britney Spears‘ MJ Video Vanguard tribute w/ Lada Gaga (in drag) kiss… Well, see for yourself!

they’re dropping like flies posted by Chris comments (3)

Irene finally hit the Catskills so it was perfect timing for this week’s ep of your friendly neighborhood Project Runway. Actually, not so friendly this week. Cecelia dropped out while Olivier wiped out then passed out. Josh C is back and Josh M goes tyrannical on Becky. It’s the return of Bertzilla as Anthony Ryan looses control of the bus… Oh kids, let’s just hug it out!

MEDIA BLITZ: Redbook, 09/2011 posted by Bee comment

I often find myself asking, “What Would Reese Witherspoon Do?” Standing in the cereal aisle, unable to decide between Cheerios and Fruity Pebbles: “WWRWD?” Taking an umbrella when the skies look questionable: “WWRWD?” That’s why I was so thrilled by the “What Would Reese Witherspoon Do?” feature in the September issue of Redbook. Turns out, Reese Witherspoon would totally wear our Cafe Habana fedora. Way ahead of you on that one, girl! Pick up yours here. I mean, WWRWD?

Maximize That Space posted by Tim C. (guest BFF) comments (2)

Getting creative and maximizing space.  It doesn’t matter what size your place is.  Big or small.  It’s about how you use it.  Here’s a nice little multifunctional drop zone right at the front entry.  Check the gold valence too.  It runs the course of the main living space, breaking up the tall white walls.  Here, however, it becomes this “liquid” hanging piece – genius.

The stairs are always a good place to utilize for storage.  Here they’ve carved out niches and filled them up with books.

Here’s an alternative to end or bedside tables.  You can build out the area behind the bed creating a shelf that spans the width of the room.  They even took it a step further creating cubbies and adding reading lights.
