FITZ & THE TANTRUMS! posted by Jenna comment (1)

There is not other word for me to use but love. I absolutely LOVE this band. They released their debut LP, Pickin’ Up the Pieces in the summer of 2010, but I wasn’t introduced to them until last year. I was lucky enough to see them back in November and honestly I am still hooked on this record. It’s so incredible! This is one of my favorite songs on the album, and the video is SO COOL, so I wanted share it with ya’ll!

As a band, they have so much soul, they are extremely talented musicians and are amazing performers– which I find are things that are hard to come by nowadays with newer bands. I highly suggest buying this album and going to a show if they stop in your city! I promise…you will not regret it!

We just heard the saddest news! Our favorite Monkee heartthrob, Davy Jones, has passed away at the age of 66 from a heart attack. Our hearts go out to Davy’s family, friends and fans. You’re one of the greats, Davy! Here’s one of my fave Monkee’s videos, if you’re not familiar… Love you Davy!

Nicole Richie is C Magazine’s March covergirl… Looking amazing! posted by Jen comments (2)

Nicole Richie looks amazing on the cover of C Magazine’s March issue! The interview is great and the pics are even better! What do you think of Nicole’s hawt bangs? Oh and if anyone is taking notes, I want that dress in the top right corner picture… I just don’t feel like you can have too many feathers in your life. Right?

New home… New obsessions. posted by Jen comments (2)

On January 29th I moved into an amazing apartment with my sweet-heartist (That’s a clue about who I’m dating… any guesses?) and I fall more in love with our home every single day. My birthday was spent framing tons of random pics and trying to figure out where they would go. I woke up this morning and walked into the kitchen and almost cried tears of joy! My handsome BF did such a great job hanging all of our kitchen and hallway art!

Almost everything in our kitchen was sent to us from an artist friend in Wisconsin, with the exception of the apple needlepoint. Most the pieces are collages of vintage ads and craft book images and mini pencil drawings of us. We also have an oil painting of a table full of meat… Very kitchen appropriate. And that table? It was from the old FF store’s basement! It was there when we moved in and now it’s my fave piece of furniture!

The hallway art was painstakingly picked… Actually, we just put the non-food stuff we love out here. The drawing on the notebook paper was done by my BF’s niece (who I love love love). I knew this would be the first thing on our wall when we moved in. The bird pic is from a vintage copy of Thumbelina, the Big Eyed Girl Print’s name is Charlie (I got her from FF in 2007) and the lil’ comic is from the same artist that did the pieces in our kitchen. The center frames are the coolest though. We hand picked our 6 fave vintage Valentines from an antiques store in Ohio. They’re incredible and I love that the entrance to our home is full of love and cuteness!! It’s crazy how awesome you feel when your home is comfy and cute! I’ll post more soon! xoxo

F-RED CARPET: THE 84TH ACADEMY AWARDS posted by Jen comments (7)

I LOVED this round of The OSCARS! Seriously, Billy Crystal is made for it. He’s not too snappy and hilarious or anything but he just fits… Anyhow, the Red Carpet, the presenters and the winners were all so on-point with their style! I was ooohing and aaahing throughout the entire show at everyone’s dresses. Did everyone see Seacrest get dusted on the Red Carpet? It was HILARIOUS! Just watched the video like 3 times. I’m pretty sure Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic agree, the Dictator got him good!

The presenters did a pretty killer job and looked HOT doing it. I think my faves were the beautiful ladies from Bridesmaids and then of course, Emma Stone. Could Ellie Kemper be anymore adorable? Her dress was as copper as her hair! She’s one of my top 3 fave looks, right next to Kristen Wiig and Emma Stone.

I also think this year had the all time best performances – Hello? Cirque Du Soleil? Are you kidding? We rewound that a couple times just so we could see everything going on! So crazy looking! I loved it! I also really enjoyed the videos of the actors answering questions. I was totally into everything and I’m pretty sure this was the first time I watched the whole thing from beginning to end!

Overall – I’d say I pretty much agreed with the winners but I have to admit, I didn’t really get a chance to see all the movies. I LOVED that Bret from Flight of the Concords won for his Muppets song. Hugo and The Artist did a lot of winning but I was surprised not to see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo win more… What did you guys think? Any shockers or disappointments? I will say, I really really wish Melissa McCarthy won but that was my only hang up!

The Cutest Pie Delivery Boy Ever posted by Bee comment

Sometimes mega-hottie male models swing by our office to say hello… and sometimes they bring pie! Our fave fella James stopped by on Friday, and brought a life-changingly delicious apple pie with him! Best day ever or best day ever? Judging by Jen’s grin, I’d say: BEST DAY EVER.

Kin Restaurant posted by Tim C. (guest BFF) comment

Great rustic space for this Thai canteen. It’s Kin Restaurant in London. A crazy mix of color, texture and style.

Vintage schoolhouse chairs and exposed brick give that vintage vibe while the concrete bar and hand drawn wall art showcase the modern flair. Also love the little accents.  Check the infill of navy blue brick on the archway.  Ties in so well throughout with the overall design and adds that subtle character.

Killer lighting. Reminiscent of that Vegas Googie style architecture.
