I stepped into the warehouse today and came upon a bunch of our ice cream lamps. The labels on the boxes made me laugh. It’s another hot summer day in NYC and “Ice Baby!” is going to be running through my head whenever I start to feel overheated. And if that doesn’t work then I’m just going to grab some dang ice cream!

When summer hits my thoughts turn to ice cream. My favorite ice cream is made by Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream, based in Columbus, Ohio. The flavors are creative and sometimes outrageous (in a good way) and the ingredients are organic and locally sourced. I can thankfully score some pints of Jeni’s Ice Cream here in NYC but whenever I go back for a visit I always have to stop by Jeni’s for a scoop.
And guess who else loves Jeni’s Ice Cream? Tavi!
Tavi is on an epic cross country road trip this summer and made a stop in my old stomping grounds, Columbus, Ohio. One of the places she made sure to visit was my beloved Jeni’s Ice Cream. Girl after my own heart I tell ya.

Betcha thought this post was going to be about Beyonce and baby Blue Ivy! It’s not but I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the inspiration for Beyonce’s robin’s egg blue nails. What a great pop of color for summer. I love it! You can snag that color along with seven other fantastic nail polish colors with our Crayola Mini Nail Polish set.

We just got in these AMAZING eco-friendly reusable FF totes and we are all IN LOVE with them! But Bee especially has a loving relationship with the tote… it matches her vintage–and amazing–FF t-shirt! I’m sure Bee can’t wait to carry all her Trader Joe’s groceries and goodies in her new BFF. So exciting!
P.S. Hi Jason!

Lana Del Rey‘s album was made for summer drives. Winding down the coastline, snaking along the highway, or just crossing the bridge from borough to borough, her tunes are the perfect summer soundtrack. And what more perfect dress for LDR-tracked sunny days and neon nights than the BB Dakota Tomio Dress? Plus Heart of Glass Sunglasses, of course.
Check out her new video, National Anthem, below!

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise were looking absolutely fab in their matching sailor-inspired get-ups this Sunday in NYC! The fifties cut of Katie’s look goes so well with the slim-cut preppy vibe little Suri is giving out, and I love the bold simplicity of the white pieces they both have on. I’m definitely going to try this summer look out myself this weekend with the White Hot Boyfriend Blazer and Tulle Stripe Waist Tie Tank Dress – though hopefully I won’t look like their triplet!

It was raining cats and dogs outside yesterday here in Brooklyn. It reminded me of a day in January when Tim and I were shooting creative ideas for our site. Can you guess what image this was for? Well without the lovely Tim. Anyways I sure need an umbrella yesterday and the Rain Parade Mini Umbrellas worked great!

So, I know Fred Flare has given a lot of love to Carey Mulligan over the years, but I should admit that I personally have been harboring a girl crush on her ever since I saw the spectacularly hauting “Never Let Me Go.” However, it was only after she got married to Marcus Mumford from Mumford & Sons this April that I decided it was totally OK for me to scream my love for her from the rooftops. Not only is Carey a great film actress (Drive? Shame? Need I say more?), but she is also involved in music, going as far as to do vocals for Scottish pop royalty Belle and Sebastian. But, truly, my favorite thing about Ms. Mulligan is just how stinkin’ cute & fashionable she is. She’s able to try so many different looks – goth, preppy, you name it – and still look great every time. I especially love the black hat she was rocking in her Vogue editorial last year, which totally reminds me of our St. Tropez floppy hat. Go Carey!
