What the hull is going on. I’m so sad to report that the most adorable and lovely Heath Ledger passed away today. It’s been reported that Heath was found dead at his home in NYC today by a housekeeper at 3:35PM and I guess some kinda perscription pills were found near his bed but nothing’s official yet. I’m just totally shocked! I knew today was gonna be tough. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Heath’s family and friends, especially to Michelle and his 2 yr old daughter Matilda. RIP Heath!
Wow i’m totally shocked!!! i didn’t believe it when i first heard!!!!
comment by Leah — January 22, 2008this is so ridiculously sad!!
comment by Priscilla — January 22, 2008ugh… wow. very unexpected there are like no words to even say.
Out of every celebrity it had to be him. This is so unexpected.
comment by Caitlin — January 22, 2008So sad…
comment by Danielle — January 22, 2008i found out about an hour and half ago, and i have pretty much just finished calling all my friends. im currently watching 10 Things I Hate About You and he is SO gorgeous. like, he had the most beautiful smile in the world, and now, oh god…. poor matilda D=
comment by cver — January 22, 2008this is terrible. i love heath!
comment by Stephanie Michelle :] — January 22, 2008i’m so depressed right now.
sigh. hollywood’s going to miss him as am i.
so tragic..
What a shame…
comment by lo — January 22, 2008The story is that he was at MK’s apartment [even though she's at Sundance..?] anyway this happened RIDICULOUSLY close to where I live. Like less than 15 blocks.
comment by Little J [Jewlie] — January 22, 2008this is terrible.
comment by Julia — January 22, 2008For some reason this is so deeply tragic, so much more than I expected. And I had no idea he was as big in the states as here in Australia. Heath was an amazing, amazing person. When I was little my Mum explained to me that some people in your life are like shooting stars. They’re only here briefly, but they shine so brightly and are so beautiful and special to see. Heath Ledger was a shooting star, and he’s gone too soon.
comment by emmablossom — January 22, 2008i heard, and i was so shocked. rest in peace, heath.
comment by Rana — January 22, 2008Why Heath?
comment by Jane — January 22, 2008Why not Britney Spears or Amy Winehouse?
it doesn’t make sense.
I was so shocked when I heard about it. It was sad enough to hear about Brad Renfro, but now this.
comment by Jaime — January 22, 2008rest in peace heath.
comment by Felicia — January 22, 2008omg! well this isnt about the blog but i was listening to the boombox and chris!!!! the rejection was like my favorite song and i heard it from a video on youtube and i was obsessed with it… so i looked on your shuffle and i was so surprised!
comment by claire — January 22, 2008what a coincedence
{i spelled coincedence wrong, i know.}
Jane… I don’t think it’s right to imply that it would have been better for Britney or Amy to die. A death is a death and it’s tragic all the same.
RIP Heath <3
comment by Alexandra — January 22, 2008I was definitely shocked by this news today. He was such a talented actor who was not afraid to take on challenging roles. He’ll be missed by his family, friends, and fans.
comment by Tommy — January 22, 2008It is very sad to know that such a talented actor has breathed his last. He will be missed

At barely three years old, I lost my dad. I feel for Matilda. God bless her. She does have movies to remember what he was like, but will never know what he could have been.
comment by Brandi — January 22, 2008so crazy. i always thought heath was one of the more “normal” celebrities and never saw anything like this coming! so odd too because i was so looking forward to the new batman movie, and now it’ll just be weird..
comment by Hope — January 23, 2008Matilda is lucky she has so many great movies to remember her dad with in the coming years, unlike someone whos parents pass away and they have nothing, not even a photo.
This is really sad. And very shocking. I only watched Broke back mountain for the first time less than a week ago.
comment by Sarah — January 23, 2008Shocking is right. This is so sad and…I don’t know, surreal? I’ll miss him, as I’m sure many others will as well. Rest in Peace, Heath. Thanks for all the memories. xoxo, Bee
comment by Bee — January 23, 2008The news just blindsided me. Talk about a shock. He was one of my favorite young actors and it’s so depressing. I feel for his friends and family, especially for his young daughter. God speed, Heath. We’ll miss you.
comment by Lori — January 23, 2008so sad…poor heath and little matilda
