So, I know we throw the term “girl crush” around a lot here at Fred Flare. However, let me be utterly serious with you when I say that Ulyana Sergeenko is probably my number one, straight up doodling her name on my notebook, kind of girl crush. Ulyana, a Moscow designer, photographer, and general style icon, is my absolute role model for updated fifties style – she is classic and feminine (and has the tiniest wasp waist!) but also mixes so many interesting materials and bold modern colors into her wardrobe.

The clothes she designs are no less inspiring, and have the same coquettish peasant girl charm and billowing skirt silhouettes as those she wears herself. Check out her facebook to see some of her designs; her Fall/Winter 2011-12 collection (above) still remains my favorite of all time.
