The Amazing Spider-Man premiered at midnight on Monday, July 2nd and I was there with 3D glasses on and a smile on my face. OK, so I yawned all the way through the previews (it was late!), but it was worth it.
I love Spider-Man. I love the comics, and I loved Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 1 & 2, and I even kind of loved Spider-Man 3 (hey, I also like the Star Wars prequels. Sue me). The Amazing Spider-Man is a great addition to the Spidey collection.

Andrew Garfield totally blew me away with his Peter Parker, bringing to the screen all the things I love about the character. Watching TASM completely reaffirmed that the web-slinger is my favorite superhero. Emma Stone‘s Gwen Stacy was magnificent and I completely fell in love with her. (Gwen. I was already in love with Emma.)
The rest of the characters (including a glittering New York City) were, well, amazing, and swinging through the streets in 3D was super exhilarating! So great. I went back to catch the movie again last weekend, and I’m probably going to see it at least once more while it’s still in theaters.
Definitely recommend! Even if you’re not a huge superhero/Spidey fan, there’s a human story in there too that’s totally worth it.
Have you seen The Amazing Spider-Man? What did you think?
It was a great revamp on the Amazing Spiderman! Totally loved it, oh and I Emma Stone was a amazing Gwen Stacy.
