I swear, when a new Madonna record drops I feel like a friggin’ kid in a candy store. I just want more, more, more! I do get kinda stressed out tho. As a die-hard Madonna fan, I don’t wanna miss a thing. I want to know about all the breaking M news: what she’s wearing, what magazine covers she’ll be on and and who’s got the hottest remixes. Also, living in NYC adds to the craziness. I mean, Madge is here this week rehearsing for her promo gig at the Roseland Ballroom. She even had dinner in my hood last night at Keith McNally’s new hawt spot, Morandi. See, that’s so Madonna, she’s everywhere yet you can’t get to her. It’s so frustrating but I love it all!
Okay, Hard Candy, marks Madge’s 11 offish studio album and (hopefully) her 4th #1 record in a row. She’s ditched her “Hung Up” leotard for some urban hip hop beats with 21st century mega producers Timbaland and Pharrel Williams. M’s so genius. She always manages to put her fingers right on the pulse of the moment! Yeah, girlicious may be pushing 50, but she’s as sexy and hawt as ever! Her suga’s friggin’ RAW! Stick and Sweet!
In my previous Chartopper: Madonna reviews I could only write about each song, but with our fancy BFF blog technology, I can just let her music speak for itself. I hope you enjoy my one stop Madonna listening shop. Please come back for seconds of my all-time fave girl! Love you M!
Candy Shop (Pharrel) What can I say? She’s a one stop candy shop!
4 Minutes w/ Justin Timberlake (Timbz) You know the drill. Only got 4 minz.
Give It 2 Me (Pharrel) The 2nd single. She’s not gonna stop & I believe her!
Heartbeat (Pharrel) We’re back on the dance floor. I feel it in my heartbeat.
Miles Away (Timbz) AHMAHZING! It’s Hard Candy‘s “Don’t Tell Me!”
She’s Not Me (Pharrel) Madonna’s pizzed. Some betch stole her book!
Incredible (Pharrel) S*x with Madonna is incredible… ‘Nuff said!
Beat Goes On w/ Kanye West (Pharrel) Kanye just flew in from gay Paree.
Dance 2night (Timbz) Hey Madonna, JT’s takin’ it to the club. Wanna come?
Spanish Lesson (Pharrel) “La Isla Bonita” for the new millennium.
Devil Wouldn’t Recognize You (Timbz) Someone’s gotta killa costume!
Voices (Timbz) Are you walkin’ that dog or is it walkin’ you?
I give Madonnz’ sweet treat 5 outta 5 lolli’s! Duh, It’s Madonna AND candy! For my complete Chartoppers: Madonna reviews, click here!
Okay pleez don’t kill… but I have to admit that I’m not a huge fan of her new stuff. I miss her unique sound when she pushed boundaries… this all bleeds together when I hear it. I totally agree that she knows how to sell – the woman is a mega star. But between the fact I can’t tell her new songs apart, and her thin physically frame, I’m just not impressed. Her poses all look the same! I know, I know… she is older now. She’s different creatively. But that’s just my big ole opinion!
Love you guys!

Okay I do have to say that the new stuff sounds a bit over produced and more like the producers and cowriters than the Madge, but after a few times of listening to the album, I know I will love it. There is some of the old style coming through at times and that I love. Overall, it’s fun, and don’t we all need a few minutes of fun every once and whlie. So, to all of you that are not sure, give it another listen, it may grow on ya!
Later guys, You rock!
