Luckily, we found someone with an AH-MAZING eye and she is BURSTING with talent and so many original ideas! She is totally the best one yet and I'm SO PLEASED to introduce you all to one of my FAVE people in the whole world... Chaunté Vaughn! Time to get to know ya!
How did you land this sweet gig?
It all started last summer when I was visiting New York and I randomly decided to miss my plane back to Utah. I ended up staying for 2 months and became great friends with the lovely Jen Koehl. One day she had me model for fred flare, I enjoyed it, but I really wanted to be behind the camera instead of in front of it. When I found out that they needed a new in-house photographer I jumped at the the opportunity.
Why did you move to New York?
There are various reasons, but in the end, I love the food! If you know me, you know I am eating constantly. The options are endless here and so far it has only been delicious. mmmm...
Oh, this is so embarrassing, but I love old muscle cars. I used to have a 71’ Mustang and I’ve never gotten over it.
You’re so creative, what is one super fun thing you did back in Provo?
I used to throw a gothic prom for my friends every year around Halloween time. My family loves Halloween and it was a way for me to make them proud. Over 200 people came last year. Everybody looked amazing and we got to play Joy Division, New Order, Depeche Mode, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and all that good stuff. I wore a top hat, black gloves, and a black body suit. I also carried a tall cane with crystal on it, like a ringmaster in the circus. The pics turned out amazing!
