Last week I was lucky enough to get tickets to a sold-out show for one of my favorite bands, The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Listening to their eclectic, psychedelic rock always brings me back to painting in college. I’d totally get in the zone listening to them on repeat as I worked on each week’s assignment.  The band was made even more infamous by a documentary called Dig! filmed by the lead singer of their friend/rival band The Dandy Warhols. Lead singer Anton Newcombe comes off as pretty eccentric, but seems to have mellowed out with this last album. The long two hour set featured all of my new and old favorites, from ‘Anemone’ to ‘I Want to Hold Your Other Hand’. However, as you can tell from my photo, I’m going to need to invest in a pair of comfortable shoes with a serious platform…like Litas!
