This past weekend was the star-studded iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. With show-stopping acts like No Doubt, P!NK, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift in attendance, the highlight of the event was a bit unexpected.

The well-liked alternative punk trio Green Day delivered their rock n’ roll set with a very big dash of “RANT!” at the end.  Billie Joe Armstrong, the group’s outspoken lead singer, became increasingly angered by the time limit they were given to perform. He let the crowd of fans know this several times with some colorful language, and even ended the set with a very punk rock finish, smashing a guitar!

The band’s website has issued a formal statement about the incident. We wish the best to Mr. Armstrong and the rest of the band, and recommend this book for his next impromptu rant. You know, maybe if he just wants to jazz things up a bit!
