**DOUG’S SUCH A FUNNY NAME ALERTZ** LC breaks her no second date curse with a high school sweetheart, Doug. Spencer and Heidi remain a mid-afternoon nap (Spencer’s) away from being on the local news. And Audrina’s observation about Lo – she’s always superbetchy – proves to be accurate. I’m just beginning, the pen’s in my hand – ending unplanned.

Lauren tells Whitney that she’s having her first date with real potential for a second since Spencer set her up with Brody a couple of seasons ago. Her date is Doug, a guy she used to go out with in high school. Sounds promising, but after seeing them together, Doug doesn’t really seem like Lauren’s type. He doesn’t look anything like her dad, Jim (see Stephen, Jason, Brody.) Still, she’s nothing if not friendly so Lauren invited Doug to the birthday BBQ she was throwing for Audrina’s 23rd. The b-day BBQ was another way of LC trying to bring the roomie situation together. But Lo wouldn’t even go into the backyard party at her own home, saying she didn’t know anybody there…like Frankie who she enjoys making out with and Doug from their teen years in Laguna. Question mark, exclamation.

Having been to a Lakers – Celtics playoff game recently, Doug & Frankie wore coordinating gold (Doug) & white (Frankie) Lakers jerseys to the BBQ. LC called them dorks, but I don’t know if I’d be talking smack if I was wearing a distressed denim running short. Audrina seemed to be enjoying her birthday party & that’s the important thing. Meanwhile, in the bowels of hell Heidi confided to the new Elodie that her sister Holly was coming to town & that she hadn’t told her sister that Spencer moved back in OR told him that she was visiting! Heidi rushed home to warn Spencer that Holly was on her way, but it was too late. Her sister had already interrupted Spencer’s video game play. Heidi begged Spencer to be nice (to her sister.) Spencer told Heidi to mind her own business. And the world continued to wonder what exactly Heidi sees in him. Back at LC’s, snippy Lo confronts Audrina about not reaching out to LC (!?) and Lo enough! The blank page before her finally stood up for herself, telling Lo definitively “We’ll never be friends”.
