So, the new 90210 series debuted last night and as you can imagine, I was friggin’ glued to it. To be honest tho, I was kinda disappointed. I mean the orig 90210 was like my fave show of all times so I guess I had high expectz. But this shiz ain’t no Gossip Girl, that’s fo sho! I loved the ole skool references… Like Andrea Zuckerman’s daughter looking like a 30 yr old, the Peach Pit and opening music (Da Da Da Da, Da Da Da Da). I also loved (and cheered) when Jenny Garth (Kelly Taylor) and Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh) showed up. They looked ahmahzing by the way. But all in all… Blah! I like some of the new kids… Naomi (the new Kelly Taylor, played by AnnaLynne McCord) was hawt. The drunk Grandma was cute. But Annie, (the new Brenda, played by Shenae Grimes) annoyed the EFF outta me. She was just a doe-eyed skinny betch. And her brother, Dixon (the new Brandon, played by Tristan Wilds) just isn’t hawt enough. Yeah, I said it! So, what did y’all think of it? Dig or Dish? P.S. Where’s Donna Martin?!?

I didn’t really like it. Annie was annoying
comment by Laura — September 3, 2008I don’t really care for it myself too. I try to watch more if it gets better. The grandma was so funny. Silver is a interesting character. Dixion is Chris Brown.
comment by Pam — September 3, 2008all the drama was minor, making it out to be major. tilly and the wall perform at the party.yay.
I totally agree.Love that Shannen poped up in the show, but the overall of the show was just …….
comment by amelia — September 3, 2008I mean my expectation of the show was like way up on “the sky” and what I got was like “underground”.SOoooo disappointed.
90210 is such a classic, and I feel it SHOULD just remain that way.
I only watched a bit but yeah, not FIERCEE enough.
comment by Keith — September 3, 2008is it just me or was there alot of too skinny people on that show? I know their supposed to be skinny to be teen whatevers, but i don’t think the ladies on gossip girl are that skinny
comment by Nyssa — September 3, 2008I thought it was kinda lame-o myself. Too many pretty people, not enough 90210 drama.
comment by Robyn — September 3, 2008All I noticed were what skinny betches both Annie and Silver were! Like, third world country starving children arms!
comment by Ann — September 3, 2008im kind of on the fence of whether or not i liked and whether or not im gonna watch next week…
comment by cver — September 3, 2008You guys are sooo true. There was too many skinny people. 90210 can’t touch GG. GG is so much trendier and how Tyra Banks would say “Fierce”. Any way I will continue to watch it, but if it doesn’t get any better I’m going to have to trash it. XOXO
comment by Jeni — September 4, 2008I was really excited for the premiere, and I have to say that was glued for the whole two hours (a bit overkill, C.Dub)…but I tend to agree here. The “drama” was waaay overblown, and I feel like they skimmed over certain issues (hello…drugs! teenage drinking!) and focused on others (pigs in the hallway). I laughed quite a bit at Grandma Betty Ford, but that’s about all. I may give it a few more tries, but overall…B minus.
