Is anyone else, like, totally psyched for The Carrie Diaries? The pre-SATC story premieres tonight on the CW and I’m so excited to see young Carrie Bradshaw take on NYC, especially because of the amazing eighties fashions. Carrie already seems to have an affinity for sequins, and I know she’d love the Motel Green Iridescent Gabby Dress. Pair it with the retro Contrast Stripe Clutch and you’re ready for a Big Apple Adventure of your own.

Doctor Who’s Freema Agyeman (Dr. Martha Jones, you brilliant thing) co-stars and shows she knows her way around a fierce heel and hot pink accessory… and a mega-ferosh animal print! Damn, gurl. I’m also totally digging Carrie’s graphic scarf.

The Carrie Diaries is already having a huge influence on my style and I know that will only continue as the show hits the airwaves. For now, I’ve assembled my 1980s Carrie-inspired viewing outfit: sparkles, a fitted jacket, and a (mock) Cosmo.
