I had the pleasure of seeing one of my all-time favorite bands, Flogging Molly, at Roseland Ballroom on Saturday night! This was my fifth (!!) time seeing FM play live and my second time at Roseland (first was way back in 2008 to see Tokio Hotel), and it was as spectacular as ever.
Flogging Molly are always a delight but Saturday’s show had two things that made it extra special: 1) Skinny Listeropened, and although I’d never heard of them prior they’re kind of my faves. What can I say? I’m a total sucker for cute Brits who play sea shanty-inspired tunes. They had both a concertina and a full-sized accordion. Sometimes in the same song. Yeah, I’m pretty much in love. 2) When I stepped out of the venue it was lightly snowing in Midtown. So. MAGICAL.
Check out a couple vids from Flogging Molly and Skinny Lister below and let me know what you think!
this sounds like a truly magical evening!!!
