OMG, I’ve been DYING to tell you about this and am SO happy I get to finally announce it today… We just launched our very first large-scale advertising campaign bringing LOVE to the streets of New York City on a batch of 25 taxi cabs! Am super excited about it. I haven’t seen one yet and I swear the day I do I might DIE. If you’re in NYC, won’t you pls keep your eye out for them?
Each cab features a different Chris Uphues heart and there’s 25 special guys in total. Which one will you meet? I’ll put a little showcase of all of ‘em below so can get acquainted but I’d LOVE to hear if you spot any around town. I just created this Flickr set and am hoping you might post snaps of the cabs here? That would just make my life. Thanks, everybody!
Also wanted to add that we’ve also got some smaller paper versions of the Chris Uphues hearts, now sold here as a superset of $10. They’re amazing feel-good decorations or just write a special message on the back and you’ve got a supercute valentine. Check ‘em out!
Can I add one more thing? I’m just hoping maybe there’s somebody new here to this blog as a result of the taxicab project and I wanted to say WELCOME! Am really happy you’re here. My name is Keith and I run this site with my BFF Chris and we have supermuchfun. Won’t you pls join us? You won’t be sorry!

Wat a great idea! I love fredflare soooooo mmuch!!!!! Brilltastic!

This is probably my favorite post of the year–ok…if not 1st, then at least 2nd to the Valentines for charity. The only beef I have is that some of those hearts need some specs appeal.
Welcome to new blog readers!! Please check back regularly and comment! It’s sa’much fun.

comment by Katie — January 19, 2009Well I just went to NYC for the 3 day weekend and the first cab (I swear to god) when I got off the subway that I saw was a fred flare one! I flipped, my boyfriend was like “what what?!” and I was all “FRED FLARE AWWW HEARTSS”. Unfortunately, never making it out to your shop in our three day weekend was quite sad. But on our last day (this evening) I saw another one as we left our hotel. Awe, that was quite nice.
Awww! This is awesome! If for some random reason I find myself in NYC, I’ll keep my eyes peeled!
comment by Dylan — January 19, 2009I bought the blue heart when I visited the Store Cute last week with Lil’ J. I put it up in my window-less office to cheer me up with all it’s cuteness.
I didn’t get a cab with the ad on it, but I wish I did.
comment by Lil' J's Mom — January 19, 2009I saw one when I was going to the train the other day! I was like “fred flare’s got taxi ads?! they’re making it big, man!”
Btw, I think I saw a red one. Maybe it was Suzy…
