Whew! What a whirlwind weekend. Let me tell you all about it… “The Story of Charlie”. On Thursday, I left for Ohio for a long weekend and some super secret kitty shopping. Keith’s b-day is coming up and Chris recruited me for a little undercover kitty search. Chris has been scheming a squish face kitty purchase for some time now, for Keith’s birthday, but after plenty of calls and emails we came to the conclusion that NYC is a pretty pricey place to find such a beautiful creature, so our search landed us in my hometown…

After I landed, I sucker’d my daddio into visiting a few catteries, kennels and private breeders to see if we could find what we were looking for. We finally stopped at a little private pet shop and there he was. My pops found him first (I was distracted by the puppies, whoops), but when I laid eyes on him, I knew he was the one.

At first, the lady told my dad that he was a SHE, so I was super sad… Lucy can’t have another girl cat in the house, she’d kill her! Vern might like it tho! But luckily, when they checked the papers, they found out, he really was a HE! WHEW! So, I made a quick call to Chris, and sent a pick and he was like “WRAP HIM UP! HES OURS!”. So, we did! I was freaking out!

First of all, my mom HATES cats, and we totes didn’t tell her we were bringin him home, and second of all, my dog was gonna pop a freak! But everything was FINE! The kitty chilled in my room with me and everyone ended up falling in LOVE. Everyone except my dog… (I think he was jealous.)

I spent 4 days LOVING this kitty. Playing, brushing, cuddling him and now I kinda feel like Juno… Giving my babbinz up for adoption! OR like SJP’s surrogate mommy! So hard! But after watching Keith open the kitty, made it all worth it!!! He was so excited! I think I saw a tear.

This morning, Chris and I totes planned on surprising Keith but leaving a little box on his desk. Keith opened him up a freaked! WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW!

Keith, I’m so happy you love him as much as I do. Chris worked so hard to find the puuuurrrfect babbinz to add to your family and I know you’ll all be very happy! And as long as I have visitation right, I’m gonna be ok! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEITH! (Maybe this will revive “MeWow Mondays”?
