In case you missed it, last night was this year's Super Bowl! And I gotta say, it was pretty darn super. From epic musical performances to awesome ads to, of course, the game, it definitely lived up to its name.

Was anyone else totally impressed by Lea Michele's America the Beautiful? I mean, I know the girl's talented (duh), but she still manages to knock my socks off every time. It doesn't hurt that America the Beautiful has always been a favorite of mine.

Christina Aguilera sang the National Anthem this year, and though she may not have gotten the words exactly right (which is hardly a rarity at these huge events... hello, pressure alertz!), she did deliver a pretty great vocal performance, showcasing the pipes that made her famous.

And then, of course, we have the halftime show. They're usually quite the production, and this year's was no different. When I heard the Black Eyed Peas were going to perform I knew it would be awesome, but I was in no way prepared for the spectacle that occurred. Crazy costumes, crazy costumes that lit up, tons of dancers, and a bonus Slash? Amaze. Oh yeah, did I mention Usher? And how he came out of the sky? "Oh My God," indeed.

The musical performances were pretty rad, of course, but we can't forget the most important part of the Super Bowl: The Super Bowl! It was a great game all around, but at the end of the day, it was a good day to be a Green Bay Packers fan (sarz, Steelers) when they took home the championship with a final score of 31 against Pittsburgh's 25. Way to go! And congrats to Aaron Rodgers, the game's MVP! You know you're awesome when you get a WWE belt for playing football.
Now, I know y'all are thinking "HEY BEE, what about the commercials?" well, that's coming up in my next post, so watch this space. But if you're dying for a video, check out this one... starring President George W. Bush, Ashton Kutcher, and Cameron Diaz feeding A-Rod popcorn. Famous people! They're just like us!
