He delivers daily the hot celeb scoop, often way before anyone else, and tops it off with the wittiest, funniest LOL comments ever. From Lindsay to Paris, from TomKat to Spederline, Pink is the New Blog guarantees our day is star-studded. Recently, we had the great pleasure of chatting with Trent about the blogosphere, his recent move to LA, and – who else? – our fave superhuman Madonna!

Hi Trent, let's get behind the Pink. We're dying to know how you started your blog.
I started blogging as a personal quest to get in the habit of writing every day. I wanted to be creative and I felt that by getting into the habit of writing every day I would find a creative outlet. Over the years Pink is the New Blog just kind of evolved…

Did you ever dream it would be this huge?
Never. I never thought anyone would care what I had to say about anything. I just try to keep it fun. I love that so many people seem to enjoy it as much as I do.

We know you just moved to Cali. How does living in glitzy LA compare to your cozy hometown of Detroit, Michigan?
To be honest, life here so far has been pretty run-of-the-mill. I'm still settling so I haven't been going out too much. The options are there, though... Options that were not available in Detroit. I'm really not looking to turn into a party animal by any means... The only thing I really want to take advantage of out here is the beaches.

We LOVE reading about your celeb run-ins. Who is your fave celeb you've met and who do you still dream of meeting?
My fave celebrity meeting has to be Madonna. I mean, she's Madonna! I do hope I get to meet Britney Spears. I've been such a fan for so long that it simply has to happen... I have to tell her in person that I really do love her.

Tell us everything about meeting Madonna... PLEASE!
Her people are fans of my site and they were the ones who orchestrated our meeting. She was absolutely stunning in person. I was actually flabbergasted! She was very cordial and friendly and really made me feel welcome. I would have been thrilled with just a handshake... I never dreamed I'd get a photo and a hug. I can seriously die now.

What is your fave celebrity fashion trend right now?
I'm still a fan of the big sunglasses look. I don't know why, but it just gives the celebs that extra bit of Hollywood glam. I realize it's been a trend for quite some time now but it's the one trend that I haven't tired of.

Baby Boomer! Which celeb baby would you want to be Uncle Trent to?
I'd love to try and have a positive influence on lil’ Sean Preston. I'd also like to spend some time with Suri Holmes Cruise...

If you weren't a world-famous blogger, what would be your second dream job?
I've always wanted to do something in the entertainment field. I just love it all. I hope that one day all my blogging efforts will lead to that dream job.

So, pretty much everyone and their dog has a blog these days… What advice can you give to aspiring superstar bloggers?
Write about what you love. It is my contention that a true love of your subject matter will lead to a successful blog. Even if your blog doesn't immediately generate traffic – mine was pretty much nonexistent to the outside world for about two years – you should still love writing it every day.

What do you think the Pink is the New Future holds for Trent???
I honestly do not know. I've pretty much gone with the flow so far and have been trying to enjoy the ride. I guess we'll find out together what the future holds!
